Flowers: Do We Love Them or The Thought?

Flowers are thought of as the language of love, or at least use to be. Through all the nights I've stayed in countlessly watching romance blockbusters and running to the bathroom for tissue every kiss and a half, giving flowers to a lady really showed admiration and that a guy wanted to pursue her. Since teenage adolescence I had always thought men were supposed to provide flowers if he was interested,  not knowing that I was at a certain age where I would just throw them aside and let them die with no regard. I had to evaluate whether I was longing for the thought or the flowers themselves. And I thought does any one else feel this way? Do women just want men to buy them flowers cause its in been portrayed as romantic in the movies and that every guy is just automatically supposed to? Some women are lovers of flowers, they have gardens and watch them grow into beautiful blooms and they are a special commodity to them. What about the women that just would prefer something handpicked ( actually if a man tells you he handpicked you flowers MARRY HIM) rather than flowers? What if a nice coffee mug was all a woman wanted? Do flowers have to be the main thought that comes to a man's head, when he wants to give something to a woman?

Valentines day is when flowers really pop up, balloons, candy and victoria secret underwear just suffocating the world everywhere (sounds magical doesnt it). These days a subsequent amount of women arent really wow'ed by flowers, they are blown away more with spectacular things that involve much time and effort. More or so something a guy may have thought deeply about what she liked. To me flowers are a living symbol, I think the reaction from me would depend on what the guy was trying to say with giving me them.

Comment below and let me know your thoughts!
