Early Womanhood

To start this "thang" off right, the first thing I feel entitled to post first are my thoughts on my age of women. As of right now the girls my age and below are what I would say growing up fast. Hey, they hardly make children's clothes anymore! With social media and tv shows as the latest and greatest entertainment, that is what most girls 13 and above shift their attention toward. With the explicit content they are able to show easily on the internet as well as on television it is easy for a person to see and mirror that, especially at a young age. From outfits and language to even standards/values and choice of men to deal with they see the women around them are portraying. Its like no one see's that themselves as role models anymore and they forget that they are being watched. There aren't enough women guiding young ladies in the right direction these days. Do these girls know the beauty they are in entailed to, how they should act, and how they should portray themselves? Is it there fault? I think not. As a young woman I feel beauty should not involve money, popularity, or makeup. It should come from within and evolve over a lifetime. But today it has revolved into a complete mess. But it can certainly be cleaned up with time and effort. I know the cliche' "Every woman should see themselves as a queen" this is true but how does one do that without knowing their value first, some hear that and don't know see the difference between treating themselves like queens and having another treat them as such. There lies the fiasco of problems. My goal for women is to represent themselves as a free individuals and be able to be as powerful as possible, to the point where younger women can look up to them and follow in their ways. It all starts with us.
