Vacation: Miami Trip

Recap of my Vacay

Lets start with the landscape, and how mind blowing and beautiful it was!

These are a few Instagram Flicks from my trip.

I spent an entire week in the beautiful sunny city of Miami. My trip was fun filled, I even brought home a delightfully mocha tan from so much beach lounging. I captured so much and went so many places, it was so exciting. For it being my second time there I definitely discovered sights I had missed the first time. Besides all of the South Beach club madness, Miami can be quite the place for touring and sightseeing. I went on a boat ride that traveled to star island featuring Millionaires Row, Fisher Island, and a couple other private housing islands for the rich and famous. It definitely inspired me and made me want to work toward my dreams so that one day I can sit outside my dock and see the same tour boat announcing that I lived there in that huge mansion! Overall the trip was exactly how I thought it would be, fulfilling and relaxing. I stuffed my face everyday, swam in nice salty clear blue beach water, and enjoyed the color changing heated pool every night. My new second home is what I would call it.

When It Comes to Mixing Prints

Karen Blanchard is one of my favorite fashion bloggers. I've followed her for years and I owe a great portion of my inspiration to her. There are no rules when she dresses and thats what I LOVE! I thought I'd share her video on my blog about mixing prints, because certain trends order you to mix prints within color range or dont mix prints at all and Karen does this effortlessly. Enjoy!

Wednesday's Tie Dye

Today called for my favorite tie dye dress with my bell sleeves! I absolutely love this dress, this happens to be one of my faves in my closet. I found this two years ago at a thrift store and I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. Til this day I cherish it so much. Tie dye has played its part in 70's and is still playing a part today. There has been countless occasions where I've seen tie dye shirts but a dress, c'mon! These Urban Outfitters Deena & Ozzy lace up booties that my feet have been blessed to wear are one of my daily shoes and have been my go to shoes since spring. I even wear socks with them sometimes if its chilly but since its mostly hot in the summer I stick to none.

Beauty Favorites!

1. They're Real Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics
The best mascara I've used in a while, It'll turn small lashes into BIG voluminous ones!

2. EOS balm in Passion Fruit
This ball of smooth lip goodness is by far the greatest thing that has ever graced my lips.

3.Anastasia DipBrow Pomade in Chocolate
I usually go for a brow pencil but when I tested this beauty out in a ULTA store nearby I fell in love instantly. All you need is an angled brush and your set to show them brows what you got!

4.NYX Matte Lip Creme in Cairo
I've heard about these a while before I purchased one, and I know what the hype is all about. You apply as a gloss and in a few seconds you've got a nude lip. I like to add a dark brown lip pencil to add a natural nude look.

5.Bronze Booster from Target
I'm a beginner when it comes to bronzer so I decided to pick this one to start with. It catches the sunlight on my face and gives me the glow effect I wanted in my life. haha

6.Urban Decay Flushed Palette
This glorious palette is divided in blush, highlighter, and bronze sections. I can say that I'm addicted to the Highlighter section the most. I use it for my inner eye corners and brow bone. I've been using this palette to death literally. Definitely a must buy!

7. MAC's Heroine
My go to lipstick for every season is this here Heroine. The lavish purple goes great with MAC's Vino lip pencil as well. This lipstick deserves to be in every girls vanity.

These are my 7 Lovely Beauty Favorites, Hope they soon grace your vanity and become your favorites too!

OOTD!

Today was my Grandmothers birthday, so I threw this outfit together because of her.

Outfit: Blouse from TJMaxx, Pants from Forever 21/Thrifted, Sandals Steve Madden
Beauty: Lipstick Chanel Coco Rouge

Drooling Over: Sophia Webster

A girl's bestfriend besides diamonds is always her shoes, it's just something about that heel that gives you that spunk you need to conquer the day! This week's DROOL OVER is Sophia Webster's lines of shoes, with her colorful and high spirited line of shoes, its hard to look at any other shoe the same after laying eyes upon them. They come in all shapes in sizes that they simply portray a personality within themselves.

Above is the woman responsible for all those insane and dreamy shoes. She deserves all her recognition!

Beauty Pop: Matte Lips

Matte Lips are definitely what sends a woman to her camera every 2 minutes for a selfie! haha. With MAC's different available shades and line of matte's and NYX's line of matte lipsticks every girl has swooned over these majestic beauties. Something about that shineless look that makes lips look flawless and dynamic. Are we ever going back to glosses after this takeover of mattes? I think not! Here are a few of MAC matte lipsticks and NYX lipsticks to get these looks.

These MAC lipsticks cost $15 but are most certainly worth the green. Trust me!

These beauties cost about $5.99 at some places and are $4.99 at others, they are muchhhh cheaper than the MAC lipsticks and give the same result.

Early Womanhood

To start this "thang" off right, the first thing I feel entitled to post first are my thoughts on my age of women. As of right now the girls my age and below are what I would say growing up fast. Hey, they hardly make children's clothes anymore! With social media and tv shows as the latest and greatest entertainment, that is what most girls 13 and above shift their attention toward. With the explicit content they are able to show easily on the internet as well as on television it is easy for a person to see and mirror that, especially at a young age. From outfits and language to even standards/values and choice of men to deal with they see the women around them are portraying. Its like no one see's that themselves as role models anymore and they forget that they are being watched. There aren't enough women guiding young ladies in the right direction these days. Do these girls know the beauty they are in entailed to, how they should act, and how they should portray themselves? Is it there fault? I think not. As a young woman I feel beauty should not involve money, popularity, or makeup. It should come from within and evolve over a lifetime. But today it has revolved into a complete mess. But it can certainly be cleaned up with time and effort. I know the cliche' "Every woman should see themselves as a queen" this is true but how does one do that without knowing their value first, some hear that and don't know see the difference between treating themselves like queens and having another treat them as such. There lies the fiasco of problems. My goal for women is to represent themselves as a free individuals and be able to be as powerful as possible, to the point where younger women can look up to them and follow in their ways. It all starts with us.
